Michael Mando plays “Nacho” Varga on AMC’s Better Call Saul

Ignacio Varga, a.k.a. “Nacho,” is a calculating career criminal serving as a lieutenant for the Mexican drug cartel. 

Season 3 finds Nacho attempting to navigate treacherous alliances within the criminal underworld to find a secure and profitable path.

Michael has also portrayed the troubled and sympathetic Vic in another fan favorite, BBCA’s “Orphan Black”, which has earned Mando his second Canadian Screen Awards Nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Coming up on the big screen in July 2017, Mando will appear in a yet undisclosed character in Sony’s blockbuster franchise, “Spiderman: Homecoming”. Additionally, Mando was the face of Ubisoft’s award-winning video game “Far Cry 3.” Alongside a full motion capture performance in the character of Vaas Montenegro, Mando’s appearance in the live action TV mini-series “The Far Cry Experience” has led his performance to be rated among the top 10 of all time.

Mando was born in Quebec City, Canada. He graduated from drama school in Montreal where he performed contemporary and classical theater. Michael spent most of his younger years living in different areas of the world including West Africa (Accra, Ghana and Abidjan, Ivory Coast) as well as Paris, France, before coming back to Canada as a Teenager. He now resides in Los Angeles.
